PENGUATAN LITERASI AL-QUR’AN MELALUI PENGAJIAN BERBASIS METODE IQRA’ DI DESA KROYO (STUDI KASUS PADA TPQ NURUL KALAM)

The Low Level of Quranic Literacy among the youth presents a significant challenge in inheriting religious ethical values within the modern era. This problem is further complicated by sociolinguistic barriers, specifically the dominance of the Javanese dialect, which triggers a passive "nga" accent articulation in the pronunciation of certain hijaiyah letters. This community service project aims to analyze the optimization of the Iqro method as an instrument for refining makharijul huruf (phonetic articulation points) to reduce these local dialect constraints. This project utilizes a descriptive qualitative approach, employing interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of the learning process at the Quranic Education School (TPQ) Nurul Kalam. The results indicate that the application of the Iqro method, combined with the principles of mastery learning and active learning strategies, is capable of improving Quranic reading proficiency. The novelty of this activity lies in the integration of clinical interventions through manual articulation demonstrations centered on the throat area (halq) to neutralize sound waves influenced by the mother tongue. Despite challenges such as the long duration required to complete the volumes and a lack of technical support within the family environment, this program successfully transformed students' reading patterns to align with tajwid standards. This study concludes that strengthening Quranic literacy in rural areas demands a synergy between methodological precision, adaptive teacher competence, and consistent individual evaluation.
